Ameera offers fifteen years of architectural and code compliance experience to UrbanWorks. As Senior Project Manager, she has coordinated the renovations of small conference rooms, local governmental interiors, as well as the construction of public and charter schools and multi-family senior housing.  Additionally, Ameera administers urban planning projects for the firm such as site assessments, audits, drawing coordination and quality control.

She holds a Bachelor of Architecture Degree with a minor in Urban Planning from the Illinois Institute of Technology.

Ameera is passionate about making the complexities and intricacies of the architectural process more accessible to her clients and her colleagues.  She is an enthusiastic mentor who believes learning is an essential part of the design process.  Ameera actively volunteers as a mentor for high school students through the Illinois Chapter of the National Organization Minority Architects (NOMA). She is a member of organizations including Project Management Institute, Chicago Women in Architecture, and the American Institute of Architects for which she served as the Associate Director for Illinois.
