A three-story concrete structure punctuated by a soaring glass and wood panel-clad multi-use space creates a vibrant, visually appealing identity that reflects UNO’s strong community-based vision for aspiring achievement within the Hispanic community. All common spaces are situated on the ground floor so they can be used by neighborhood organizations during off-class hours. Eighteen classrooms and associated educational spaces for up to 600 students are located on the second floor.
The LEED Silver design uses wood finish panels to provide sunscreening on the south façade. The iconic building’s aesthetic and materials will reflect UNO’s philosophy of honesty and transparency.
