The Resurrection Project is a community-based organization in Chicago’s Pilsen neighborhood. La Casa Dormitories provide housing for up to 105 residents on a corner site at Paulina and 18th Streets—the heart of the community.
The six-story, 33,000-square-foot building includes accommodations for commercial space on this active corner and offices for the Instituto del Progresso Latino, a partner organization. The lively façade of glass, masonry, and a varied pattern of windows express the dynamic nature of the neighborhood and its residents. Facilities for the student residents include administrative offices, a computer lounge, laundry, and kitchens. Awards and Publications2013 Richard H.
