Winner! UrbanWorks Esperanza Brighton Park Health Center received a Silver Award in the 2024 ALA Design Awards program, the third of three ALA awards won this year!
The new Esperanza Brighton Park Health Center is a striking two-story-tall, 43,450-square-feet facility that houses expanded medical health services, comprehensive senior programming, and a family medicine residency program. The new building expands Esperanza’s presence in the Brighton Park community on Chicago’s South Side to encompass an entire city block, forming a new civic plaza in concert with an earlier facility at the north end of the site.
The facility includes flexible spaces to meet the needs of its workforce while providing much needed services for community residents. In addition to examination rooms, the second floor features expanded administrative facilities and space for doctors in residency. Bright colors promote hope and positivity throughout the building.
