Winner! UrbanWorks’ Ann Rainey Senior Apartments received a 2024 Design Evanston Award in the New Construction – Multi-Family Residential category! Clad in a white concrete panelized system with brightly painted metal trim, this lively articulated four-story-tall senior living facility provides a unique pairing of affordable housing and support services in one location. The design builds on the client’s mission “to enhance quality of life and facilitate independence of older adults,” with 54 one-bedroom and 6 two-bedroom, pet-friendly, affordable independent living apartments for seniors. The community connects to an existing Adult Day Services Center providing opportunities for shared programming and socialization for both groups of seniors.
