Harvest Homes II

Harvest Homes II will provide 50 new affordable housing units in Chicago’s East Garfield Park neighborhood. Occupying an unusual wedge-shaped site between Jackson Boulevard and West Fifth Avenue, the three-story-tall L-shaped building has units in one-, two-, and three-bedroom configurations arrayed along a double-loaded corridor.

Publicly accessible amenities include an entrance plaza on Fifth Avenue, a park-like North Plaza facing Jackson, and a double-height food hall at the east end of the building. A roof terrace for residents at the east end of the building overlooks the food hall patio below. The ground level features brick facing and the upper floors are clad in varied ribbed metal and wood panels. The distinctive food hall is wrapped in a storefront glass façade topped by standing seam metal panels.
