The design for John Hancock College Prep High School is inspired by its proximity to Midway Airport and the correlated UPLIFT theme. Windows and patterns mimic sound waves from airplanes, also reflecting activity within the school. The complex boosts the community with amenities like a black box theatre, auditorium, and gymnasium. The outdoor areas provide a communal space and extend to the nearby Grimes Elementary School.
