2024 was one for the books. In our 30th year of architecture, interiors, and urban planning, UrbanWorks received 13 accolades and honors for our work!
Ann Rainey Senior Apartments was the recipient of a Design Evanston Award for New Construction – Multi-Family Residential, as well as an ALA Silver Award.
The Nancy Franco Maldonado Paseo Boricua Arts Building won an American Architecture Award for Mixed-Use Buildings, in addition to an ALA Merit Award.
Esperanza Health Center received five awards! These included an American Architecture Award for Hospitals/Medical Centers, an ALA Silver Award, a Chicagoland Associated General Contractors Project of the Year Award for New Construction, an AIA Chicago Lerch Bates People’s Choice Award for Healthcare and Research, and a HACIA Project of the Year Award.
Firm Principal Maria Pellot was elevated to the AIA College of Fellows!
Pioneer Arcade (Pulaski Senior Housing) received a Chicago Adopt a Landmark Award and grant.
The Reconstruction West Trade School (Carpentry on Lake) received an Equitable Transit Oriented Development Award and grant.
And the Wood Street Farm Expansion received a Community Development Grant from the City of Chicago!
