Winner! UrbanWorks Ann Rainey Senior Apartments received a Silver Award in the 2024 ALA Design Awards program, the second of three ALA awards this year!
Clad in a white concrete panelized system with brightly painted metal trim, this lively articulated four-story-tall senior living facility provides a unique pairing of affordable housing and support services in one location. The design builds on the client’s mission “to enhance quality of life and facilitate independence of older adults,” with 54 one-bedroom and 6 two-bedroom, pet-friendly, affordable independent living apartments for seniors with a spacious lounge on each floor. The building connects to an existing Adult Day Services Center providing opportunities for shared programming and socialization for both groups of seniors.
