UIC College of Nursing Simulation Lab
The renovation of the UIC College of Nursing Simulation Lab will create a state of the art medical education facility while providing a bright and modern space for nursing students. Inspired by a combination of colors from nature, a vivid bold teal accent color and wood installations lead students and visitors through the space, and create a light-filled place reminiscent of healing in nature. These bold design choices designate student spaces by activity— seating niches with power outlets, a welcome area with an informative media wall, and a student lounge gathering space – which become a model environment for learning, interaction and collaboration.
Beyond the common spaces, students will have access to cutting edge simulation labs designed to create real world, hands-on learning experiences in a controlled environment.
